
The Muaythai Australia Nationals are the official national championships governed and sanctioned by Muaythai Australia.
Fighters must be nominated by their state or territory association. Muaythai Australia rules. National titles are only awarded through this competition.

The Melbourne International Open is a standalone open competition held alongside the Nationals.
Hosted by Muaythai Victoria Incorporated, this division welcomes eligible Australian and international fighters to compete in Melbourne under a nationally sanctioned framework.
A three-day competition that spans the full Muaythai pathway.
Class Strucuture
Fighters must be nominated by their state or territory association.
Seniors: 10+ fights or professionals
Juniors: 8+ fights
Seniors: 6-10 fights
Juniors: 0-7 fights
Seniors: 5 fights or less
Age Divisions
Age-specific bout rules, protective equipment, and weight divisions apply.
Athlete age is determined by age as at the first day of competition being 10th April 2026.
Weight Divisions
Weight divisions for all age categories follow internationally recognised classifications aligned with Muaythai Australia and IFMA standards.
Weight categories differ by age group and gender and are applied consistently across both the Nationals and the Melbourne International Open.

A large-scale indoor venue selected to support a multi-ring, multi-day national and international championship.
